Primary Metal Technology (PMT) is responsible for research and development related to primary production of aluminium. Hydro is world leader within aluminium production technology and has high ambitions for further technology development. Area of Responsibility
Summer interns will work with real R&D projects together with our experts. We recruit 6 interns to all of our disciplines in the technology development unit (PMT) in Årdal and Porsgrunn: Cell design, Electrolysis, Process control, Anode production, Material properties & design.
Project- and Master Thesis: Your internship in Primary Metal Technology can be followed up by a project- and/or a master thesis for Hydro.
- Minimum three years of completed studies within relevant areas such as Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Mathematical modelling, Materials Science, Cybernetics, Mechanical Engineering, Light Metal Production, Physics
- Good academic results
- Preferably engagement through student activities
- Strong communication and cooperation skills
- Curious and result oriented attitude
- Fluent in English
